I'm from Nebraska and will be in the Denver area the 21-23 of July and would like to find someone to wheel with. Being from Nebraska there aren't very many places to go so I'd like to take advantage of being in great jeep country. My jeep isn't mod'd a whole lot soI'm not looking to get to crazy. :D

Hmmmm...we could probably get a trip together to show you some trails...I will have to check my schedule, but I think I should be free one of those days

What part of the state are you looking to wheel in? What size tires do you have, any skids, lockers, etc.? Just trying to get an idea of what trails you might be up for. I think I'll be free next Tuesday.

If work does to me, what they did today, I may be in.

I have a 2000 TJ Sport with a 2" BB Lift and a 1" MML & BL. I'm running 32 X 11.5 tires. I don't really have any skids or armor so my jeep isn't mod'd too much. I'm also on my way to Oregon (I'll be in the Denver area for a few days) so I can't get to crazy and break something and delay my trip. So basically I'm looking for some moderate trails. I don't really care where we would go--i'm willing to drive aways-away. It would be very nice to have some people to go with and help a rookie out :D
Thanks

Oops. Tiff, that's the day Chozenroze arrives at DIA.

O|||TJ|||O, Bill Moore Lake is probably a perfect run, for you. Mildly challenging, great scenery, little opportunity for damage.

After looking at my schedule i think Wednesday will be the best.

Let me know--it'd be AWESOME if we can work something out.

Is that the 23rd? If so I may be able to break away and do something...not sure just yet, but it is possible...especially if I hook up with Firegod and get my brakelines relocated :D

As far as I know, we'll be installing my clutch at Snotty's, on the 20th. If you can bring the parts over, for me, we'll move those lines so you don't tear them out again. Wednsdays are usually my day off. I'm sure the older munchkin would like to spend her birthday wheelin'. (She loves it as much as I do) :)

BML is just outside of Empire, about 40-45 minutes west of here. I've been up there twice. The first time, we had 31 Jeeps. That time, it took a long time to do the trail. The second time, we had five or six vehicles. It only took a few hours to get to the lake and back.
I will get the CB mounted in the XJ today or tomorrow. The new clutch gets done sunday. Hopefully, I can get the other hood vent done saturday.
How does 10:00 AM, at the Burger King in Downieville, sound? Downieville is west of Denver, on I 70. It is where the truck scales are.
Look for my black XJ.

Cool thanks Let me see what I can do about getting wed. off. I have a buddy with a tj and a 2inch lift and 31s He would be fine you think. He has no skid protectoin. I think he has wed off and would go. if not he might just ride with me.

BML is fine, with no skids. I ran it in a stock XJ, w/o skids. The worst I got was some rash on my rockers. There is a bypass around the section where that happened.

Cool I'll let him know. He is trying to finish his basement befor than but If he says yes then we'll go. Other wise I'm planning on going if I can get that day off.

Ok, sounds great. I also don't have any skids. I don't have a CB either.

I have some camping stuff that I'm taking on my trip--is there a good spot that I could leave it or would it be best just to leave it in Denver (with the people we are staying with--and pick it up later). Afterwards we are going to try to make it aways into Wyoming on Wed. afternoon so hopefully we won't be out all day.

I have a potential, major problem. My XJ was supposed to get a new clutch, this weekend. It looks like this may not happen, as planned. If this is the case, I won't be able to lead this motley crew.

So is this trail run off. Can anyone still go or lead this trip? I would still like to go if anyone can go.

Red Elephant hill isn't that hard, maybe a 5 or 6. It's similar to the frist part of Spring Creek if you're familar with that. I ran it with 31's and no lift on my TJ and was fine.

It's definite. I won't be able to attend. Sorry. Clutch will be done this weekend, though. I hope to be on the trails, soon.

I'm going to try to make it. I hope the trail isn't too hard--I only have a 2" BB lift and a 1" BL w/ 32's. I also, don't have any skids or rockerguards. :( I'll have the silver TJ with Nebraska Plates.

Uh oh. Too much time paintballing? Drop by friday or saturday, if you can. It'll take about 5 minutes to relocate those brake lines, before you tear them out again.
