Hi,
I have an old jeep wagoneer with an AMC 360 in it. Would the 360 fit into a cj-5 fairly easily? What about the cj's tranny, would it handle a 360? I plan on taking the axles and engine out of the wagoneer and putting them in my cj-5, but i need to know if it will work without to much hassel. if anyone has done something similar, please post some pointers.
thanks

What year CJ5. If it's 76 or later It probably will be no problem.

Also what year wagoneer

that would be a sweet set up in a cj5.

I just did the swap in a CJ-7. What tranny do you have? The bolt pattern will be the same, but a 360 has a LOT more power. You'll need the proper motor mounts. You'll need to re-route the fuel line from the drivers side to the passenger side for the 360. A crossover works fine.
E-mail me if you want for other questions.
Have fun.

should not be a problem at all- i have a 304 in mine which is the same motor basically-besides some interior changes.
