ZJ: loose connector (pic)

I've had this connector dangling around for a while. I have no clue what it is, anyone have any suggestions.

Its not comming from the battery cables (the picture isn't perfectly clear).

Is there any way you can track the other end of the wire? It's really hard to tell from the pic.

If you haven't had any problems with your truck, I guess it's no problem.

Are you the first owner? Could this be left from some extra equipment that a previous owner had?

It could be for an option on the jeep that you don't have. My jeep doesn't have anti-lock brakes and a couple of other stuff, but I've got connectors for them. Think they have the wiring harness' all made the same, and if you don't have an option, you have the connector for it, just not the stuff.

for those who are interested, someone just solved the mystery of the loose connector. He "moparman" says it's the hood sensor for the alarm system. Well, I don't have an alarm, so I guess that's why it's dangling around.
