Subject: ESA ALERT FROM Larry Toelle Pacific Region Field Director Frontiers of Freedom - People for the USA
All,
Congress is either dragging its feet . or they need their toes burned by us.
We've asked Oregon Congressman Greg Walden and California Congressman Wally Herger to help arrange two separate hearings on ESA reform: 1) Hearings before the special committee in Washington DC between May 22nd and 24th to present ESA issues relevant to Klamath Basin, and 2) Local hearings in Klamath Falls as soon as possible.
Congressman Herger has responded by sending a request to Congressman Hansen (UT) who heads the special committee meeting in Washington. Congressman Walden has not yet responded to our request.
Please call, fax or email both Congressman Herger and Walden.
Thank Congressman Herger for his responsiveness . and ask him to turn up the heat further if possible.
Ask Congressman Walden to give these hearings his immediate and undivided attention by sending a request to Congressman Hansen to hold timely hearings between May 22nd and May 24th.
Activists from across the west will be in Washington next week at the Fly-In for Freedom . it's opportune and timely for the committee to hear the real problems with ESA. Also, a contingent from Klamath Basin will be in Washington for this year's Fly-In and available for first-hand testimony.
Please pickup the phone and give them a call . NOW . no time for letter writing.
