Quadratrac questions

I am looking at a 77 cj-7 with 304, auto, quadratrac. I just need to know the reputation the quadratrac system has and can it deliver all avail torque to front and rear axles like other positive acting transfer cases. What is the reputation of the auto tranny and what gear ratios would it likely have. Thanks for any help. Rusty

The auto is probably a Turbo 400, a good auto tranny, can handle V8 power with no problems. Ratios are 2.48/1.48/1.00
The Quadratrac is not particularly strong or desireable for offroading. Parts are becoming hard to find.
You might consider swapping to a Dana 18 transfer case with a kit from Advance Adapters.
