I have been drawn to look at a couple of CJs that are for sale in the owners yards lately.....it is tempting to get the original, ya know? I just seem drawn to look at them - like a magnetic attraction. ;) I think it would make my TJ happy to have a friend- am I crazy? ;)

Now what self respecting Jeeper wouldn't want to own a CJ?

Many people say that CJ's are too expensive to maintain. To be honest with you, my $15 CJ part costs my brother $110 on his Cherokee. I don't have to pull fuses to take off the doors and I don't have to worry about computers controlling everything. No, they don't run smoothly, (who wants that new-fangled "fuel injection" anyway? :)) but there ain't nothin' cooler than driving in a CJ....the one that started it all.

WV....

My CJ and TJ get along just fine! And, the CJ can go anywhere the TJ does. It is cool to drive "old iron" on the trail.

BTW.... my CJ runs great ... never breaks down. But, I twisted a rear prop in two this year in Moab... Oops.

Minoe setback... had a fwd Jeep for a day !

George, you've been drawn to CJs for at least the last couple years that I know of ;)
School's almost out, so treat youself! Give in and go buy one!!! :D
That way you'll have the rest of the summer to get it ready, and you can drive it topless to school for the first couple weeks in Sept. :)
Let us know what you find.

I had an '86 Laredo when they were brand new. I had to sell it when my daughter was born, and I swore I'd get another. And what did I find a year ago...ANOTHER '86 CJ! This one is a permanant fixture now. it only took me 14 years to get it.
I know what you mean by the attraction. There's nothing like a CJ!

I always look at CJ's. Maybe I'll find one thats fairly all original and pick it up. It'll go nicely with my YJ's and 67 CJ5
