Is it Worth it?

Quick one~ What do you all feel this is worth?
1973 CJ5 with inline 6 cylinder engine. The engine has 100000 miles on it. The body is in great shape. There is very little rust at all, and it comes with a hard top. This jeep is pretty much stock, with 31x10.50 tires on 15x7 rock crawler type rims. It does have a bikini top that it comes with as well. Other than that, nothing extreme, but a good looking CJ-5.

My friend is looking to buy this, probably at around 4000. Do you all think this is worth it?

Sounds a little steep to me but it really depends on the condition. If it is as nice as you say then it might be worth it. Wow I didnt help at all.

I think for a $4000 '73 there should be a good bit of aftermarket add-on's. Just an opinion though :D

I bought my 76 CJ5 for $1400.00 It had 10,000 miles on the motor, Fiberglass body , windshield frame and fenders, warn premium hubs, new soft top, new clutch.

That hard top, if it is fiberglass, is probably worth $1000.00. If it's metal, well, I got one and I can't get $100.00 for it.

$4000.00 ? IMHO to much unless you can eat off the foorboards. Check the frame by the rear hanger. If there's holes here offer him $2000.00
