swing away tire/can rack

Hi, I saw a swing out tire carrier and gas can combination in a JC Whitney catalog made by valley industries. When I called them they said it was discontinued so I called valley and they confermed that they no longer make em.. I also found one in an old Cepek mag made by Canyon city who is now out of buisnes or in the process of moving. Any way the hunt for red october is on. Its for a 76-86 CJ7 or 5. The body mount type.Any one know where to get one of thies? Ive seen all the elaborate bumper mount rack systems out there but I only want a body mounted swing out tire and gass can set up. Thanks jim.

If you cant weld have someone do it for you. just take the factory tire carrier and add arms to it so you can fit what ever gas tanks you want. The hardest part of it, would be moving the pin to lock the tire carrier in place.

Actually I just saw the swing out tire set up that rockstomper makes. It is a bumper mount but I can buy just part of it and make it work with the double tube that I have. There's rides on a trailer spindle and bearings, they show a picture of the carrier with a 35in tire and a big guy siting on the tire with the carrier swung out. Ill get the parts and take them to a local welding shop. I can weld (not verry good) I just dont have a welder.

I have a stock replacement tire & dual jerry can rack. IT bolts right into the stock holes, All you do is take out the two hinge bolts and put this one on. I have all the brackes and reineforment mounts, it;s in real good shape I want a bumper mount one I will sell you this one for $150 + shipping, let me know I will deal or trade.
