Seems that I just can't look at a Jeep that's older than 25 years without buying it!
Just picked up a '75 Cherokee this morning. Pics and specs to come tomorrow morning.

Perhaps a 12 step program is in order. :D

Probably no need for 12-steps... But a lift, tires, gears and a bit of engine re-warming are really in order (had a Cherokee Cheif Quadratrack back then, killer fun ride, but they rsut like my granma's hip!)

I've got some work ahead of me, but the end result will be way cool. :)

Edit: The red and purple Kenworth in the background of the second pic is my work truck. You'd be surprised at how well it does, off-road!

I'm sensing a "buggy" build up here... (I see the rust, what's with the door??)

Stop you? Nahhhh....there's no hope for you. :D

If this is an addiction, do you really want to be cured?

There are far worse addictions...like it!!!!

Did you talk to the folks over at BJs? Or give Rusty a call?

I called BJ's, but they're at SEMA for the week. I'll try again when they get back. I decided against Rusty's because they use a 4" spring and 2" block in the rear. I want all spring.
The rust isn't really all that bad. The floor pans need replaced, but that's about the worst of it. Haven't decided if I want to freshen up the Quadratrac or replace it with a D20 or D300. The wiring is a mess, but I'm sure Painless can help me out with that.
I have no idea what gears are in the diffs yet. With the 360, it may not matter that much.
Yep. I'm definitely sick. Nah, don't bother with a cure. It won't work.
Have I mentioned that we're also eyeballing a '69 Commando? :D

Oh, yeah. The door....
Your guess is as good as mine. The Jeep has sat in that spot since '98. A guy that used to work for my company owed the boss some money. He never paid up, so the boss kept the Jeep. I offered him $500 for it. He talked me down to $250. I said SOLD!! That's really all the history on the Jeep that I know. It's a brand new relationship!
