Hey I was wondering if anyone could help me out on this. My 5.2 has 58k on the ticker. I am having a problem with excess noise at idle. It seems it has had this since day one. But it has gotten noisier gradually. It sounds like a muffled diesel at idle. It stays noisey all through the engines range (when accelerating). It is the most pronounced at idle though. I am running full synthetic. I was told that a engine is a little noiser, when running synthetics.
It almost sounds like it is in the valve train (it seems to be coming from underneath the valve covers).
Any suggestions????
