This may not be the place for a joke , but i just couldn't resist.......... it is a 4x4 joke!

The Black Box

The National Transportation Safety Board recently divulged
they had covertly funded a project with the US auto makers
for the past five years, whereby the auto makers were installing
black boxes in four-wheel drive pickup trucks
in an effort to determine, in fatal accidents,
the circumstances in the last 15 seconds before the crash.

They were surprised to find in 43 of the 50 states the last words
of drivers in 61.2 percent of fatal crashes were,
"Oh, ****!"

Only the states of Mississippi, Missouri, Arkansas, Alabama,
Georgia, Texas and Tennessee were different,
where over 89.3 percent of the final words were:

"Hold my beer and watch this."

No offence to y'all southerners....LOL

Good one. Kinda reminds me of this:

State of Minnesota
Department of Transportation

Date: March 1, 2001

To: All Minnesota Auto Dealers
All Minnesota Insurance Agents
All Minnesota Auto Mechanics
All Minnesota Testing Centers

From: Minnesota Motor Vehicles Division

Subject: Automobile Dimmer Switches (Minnesota Statutes: 1400, 3.c.)

1. Pursuant to the Minnesota Motor Vehicle Division Act No. 1400, Subdivision 3, Section C, entacted Februrary 28, 2001, all motor vehicles sold in the State of Minnesota after March 1, 2001 will be required to have the headlight dimmer switch mounted on the floorboard. The dimmer switch must be mounted in a position accessable to operation by pressing the switch with the left foot of the vehicle's driver. The switch must be far enough removed from the pedals to avoid inadvertant operation or pedal confusion.

2. Included in the above act, and beginning March 1, 2001, all other vehicles with steering column mounted dimmer switches must be retrofitted with a floorboard mounted dimmer switch of the type described above. The steering column mounted dimmer switch must be disabled or removed from the vehicle. EXCEPTION: Vehicles for which the primary license holder has a hand control authorization may leave the column mounted dimmer switch in place, provided the floorboard mounted switch is in place as prescribed above. Vehicles which have not made this change will fail the Minnesota Emissions and Safety Testing Program, effective March 1, 2001.

3. It is recognized that this will cause some hardship for the general driving public. However, this change is being made in the interest of public safety. Minnesota Motor Vehicles Act 1400, Subdivision 3, Section C will revert all Minnesota motor vehicles to the prevalent dimmer system in use prior to the influx of foriegn market vehicles. A recent study entitled "Initiation Sequence of Minnesota Nighttime Highway Traffic Safety Accidents" was conducted jointly by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, the Minnesota Highway Patrol, and the University of Minnesota Department of Research and Special Studies. It was shown, according to this study, that 98% of all Minnesota nighttime highway traffic accidents are caused by a blonde getting her foot caught in the steering wheel.
