Air Bag Light

My airbag light stayed on today and my speedometer didn't function either.
Until I smacked the dash, then everything looked ok but is this of any concern.
Or was it just a loose wire??

Any info would put my mind at ease.

I had the same problem with my 99. I asked the guys on www.naxja.org in the oem tech section and they said it was a bad connector behind the dash. You can search their site and look under "instrument cluster intermittent" and you should see the replies I got to your same question about 1 month ago. I just hit my dash with the heel of my hand and it hasn't happened anymore in the last 3 weeks or so. Hope this helps.
