I ordered a skid plate from him a month ago and it still isn't here. I cannot reach him at all. I realy didn't want to resort to having to post this, but it's all I'm left with. What should I do?

I'd sure like to know where he is too. I ordered a set of his 1" MM's awhile back, but haven't heard from him in a while. Does anyone have a phone number for him?? My check cleared my bank on 3/21, so I'm gonna be pissed he cashed it but hasn't sent my stuff out yet!

I am in the same boat - Brennan received my payment by PayPal for a skid kit on 3/14, confirmed receipt on 3/15 and that is the last I heard in spite of numerous phone calls and emails to him. I started a thread about this situation on JU last week. I am concerned that something bad has happened to him, so if anyone hears anything please let me know. Brennan's home number is 208-756-8157. Does anyone have a number for his former partner Gary?

I did a search on the last name Metcalf and found a relative of his - I assume his mother. I called her and she said the he just got back from Moab yesterday.

No worries - he is fine and I am sure he will contact us all now that he is back in town.

A 4 liter V8 eater,

Smoke signals? Semaphore flags? ... or a well placed star shell fired from the offices of the nearest Better Business Bureau?

Don ;)

I emailed him yesterday at the address on his website - no response. Telephoned a couple of times - no answer. Anyone else heard from him?

Below is Brennan's email to me explaining his "disappearance."

MY EMAIL: 3/26/01

"Hello Brennan,

I haven't heard from you yet as to whether or not you have sent my order for the 1" lift TJ MM's yet. The check I sent to you cleared my bank account on 3/21/01. Please forward a tracking number to me.

BTW, a lot of people are looking for you on the various jeep bulletin boards. I hope you're ok!

Jason"

BRENNAN'S RESPONSE: 3/28/01

"Mr. Skyles

I am sorry for the delay with your order. I have been dealing with my former partner in some legal matters. They are finally resolved now and I can finally start shipping orders out again.

Again I am sorry for the delay. If you want to pop in on some of those boards I would be ever grateful. It is really bad when I am looking at going back to work in Wildfire/Disaster Management because it would be a low stress job. Thank you for your concern.

Brennan Metcalf"

It looks like he will be shipping out orders soon.

Well, fat lot of good it was to be nice in my emails to Brennan. I have yet to hear anything else from him since the above email. He's really pissing me off now! Really, how friggin hard is it to check your email and send a two sentence reply !?!? I'm going to try to call him later today (it's 4 0r 5 am there now). If that doesn't work, then I'll get nasty. I friggin hate being taken and that's how I feel right now  AAARGGGHHH!!!!

I also got an email from him last Tuesday claiming that the delay in shipping my paid order and lack of communication was due to legal issues with his ex-partner, which had now been resolved. However I have received no response to my emails asking for a shipping date, and his home phone (208-756-8157) is never answered. Like you, I am extremely frustrated with his total lack of business responsibility.

Of course, noone is answering his phone either.

"...now and I can finally start shipping orders out again." - Maybe it's my fault for not actually asking him to ship my order

Well, I don't know whether he's out wheeling, fighting with lawyers, or has been abducted by aliens - and I don't really friggin' care! At this point this Sucks!

Hey Brennan, you can send me my money back, I don't want your MM's at any price now I'll get them from somewhere else. You've got until 4/16/01 to return my money.

BTW, The amount in question is $90 and I wouldn't mind the delay so much if he had ever communicated with me. However, now it's the principle of the matter, the amount isn't that important. I hate getting screwed and I'll NEVER deal with Brennan again.

Both my parents have owned business's and like they always told me. The success of the business depends on the customer service!

I have been emailing Metcalf every day requesting an approximate shipping date since he emailed a week ago that his "disappearance" was due to getting his legal issues resolved with his former partner. Zero response. I find it hard to believe that he set up a PayPal business order system, has been collecting payments, and doesn't have the courtesy to respond to simple status requests.

Has anyone heard from him during the last week?

 Nope! Not a word from him. I emailed him cancelling my order and giving him until 4/16/01 to refund my money that has been sitting in his bank account for two weeks now. After that I get vindictive! :D I don't have whole lot of 'extra' money laying around, so when someone takes mine, I usually find a way to make 'em pay.

Sounds like it's time to call your respective credit card companies.

I just thought this was funny. :D:D

You guys should try calling him with your I.D. blocked, if you haven't yet. Maybe he doesn't answer calls that are out of state or something.

Since there are similar threads going on over at JU, I thought I would add my 2 cents worth over here. In my case, I'm due a return authorization and a refund for the second defective FLAT crossmember I received from Brennan in early February, as well as a RockEater oil pan and deep tranny pan that I have had on order since January 5th (and for which I have been lied to three times as having been shipped to me ... when they weren't). Brennan did send me a rather lengthy email response after "resolving his legal problems" (translate ... went wheeling in Moab and left everyone high & dry with no courtesy message).

I'll tell you guys something ... unless Brennan has had his nose to the grind stone fabbing-up a slew of parts for everyone that has ordered something from him (and he just hasn't been able to respond to all of the emails and phone messages), then I think we are seeing the end of Metcalf Motorsports. I just hope we can get our parts or money back before the whole thing caves in. It's really a shame, as Brennan previously seemed like a nice, stand-up kind of guy ... but I'm afraid that he, his business, and his business ethics & practices have been flushed down the toilet (and without much consideration given to his many customers and loyal followers). Bad things can and do happen to people and businesses, but they don't need to be handled in this ****ty way.

Good luck to all,
Don

P.S. Tiffster ... you've got to be kidding. Moderating is one thing, but you don't allow the word "****ty" to be used? How about "crappy"? Is that acceptable? Shheesh!

Man this is making me sick! I read great reviews on his products and also he was a fellow Jeeper. That's what persuaded me to purchase last week. This was before I saw all this. Now I'm worried that I've been taken. That really pisses me off! I can understand if someone has manufacturing delay (heck I bought a Bulletproof Bumper!) but they should communicate with you. He has a website, why not put something up there. It's things like this that make nervous about doing business on the web. You just never know. I hope that's he just really backed up. Although, he did accept my Paypal payment really quick. Maybe I'll see those MM soon.

This is my first post over here. Normally I'm on JU or Dirtroad.
