I knew I hit it hard in an obstical course last week, but I didn't realize how hard. :)
No big deal really, It moved up about 1/4", but it is still over 1/2" from the oil pan, and it is not touching anything.
I'm sure it saved my t-case skid from being folded or ripped off.
On a similar note, a buddy has built a prototype of a engine/tranny skid that goes from the radiator all the way back to the t-case skid. It will work with or without a lift, and does not interefere with the drive shaft. We are discussing him building more to sell, but anyone buying them would have to realize that they are buying a prototype, not a "guaranteed" product. Anybody interested? We haven't got as far as pricing yet, but it would be reasonably inexpensive.

Uh...I feel your pain.;)
I just reinstalled mine after reinforcing it a little...hopefully it'll hold up better this time.
Let me know what your buddy comes up with - I may be interested in something down the road.

I maybe interested also. Anything to keep a little more mud out of the engine compartment...

YJ's too or just TJ's? If he is making a YJ one I would be interested.

Just TJ for now.

Too bad. If he does decide on YJ I would be more than happy to be the guinea pig for ya.

Get some pictures and spec's on like thickness. I'm interested.

It would be nice if someone would design something that mounts similar to the Skid-Row or Rusty's plates, yet is adjustable for height so that it is even with a flat t-case skid.

The limiting factor will still be the oil pan and belhousing, but I'll try to figure out if there is any reason it won't work.

Will this use the lower control arm brackets on the frame for support? If so, count me out...I don't have them. If they don't, then I'm interested.

It used the passenger side one, but not the driver's side. It is really just for a bit of extra support, so if you were technical minded you could chop that bracket off and run a brace to the frame instead. The only reason it uses the bracket all all is that he is trying to make it a bolt on with no drilling.

Even better! I'll second that request for thickness and add one for pricing.
