Well I'm finally geting around to writing this up. Sun. July 22nd. Justin, a Friend of mine Don and I installed the Tera Flex S3Z. Justin was a god send.THANK YOU JUSTIN!! We had it pretty easy because we had a 4 point lift and air tools to work with. Justin & Don jumped right in and tackled the hard stuff. I messed with all the small stuff like filling the controle arms, a few parts runs, ordering pizza, seting parts up as they were to go in. I drilled a few holes.(Front Track Bar)& for the New front bump stops up front.ETC...
The rear whent in very easy. Maybe 2hrs.
The front took longer. Had to find a 5/8" drill bit at Ace hardware. The some nuts for the new bump stops up front. I still rub just a bit in the front right wheel well.
Corey(JpRngr) showed up and gave us some pointers on a few things up front.Thank you Corey! We fought and fought geting the front Adj. track bar to line up the axle but finally got it. kept the caster & all the new controle arms at stock like the directions said. When I pulled the 5.9 out of the garage the toe was VERY inward. We adjusted it and eyed it best we could. Straitend the steering wheel last.
Ride: It does not ride like it did. I didn't expect it too. At first it felt like it had a bit of under steer. But I think it was do to the fact the toe was still in a bit.
NO death wobble, No shimies.
The ride is stiffer but not real bad. I was running my RS 9000's at 3 most of the time. Now it's about the same with them at 2. On the trail I have alot more flex of corse & it seems a little more smoother than the B.B.
The tires whent on Fri.the 27th after the alignment on Thur. The toe was at 1/2"in before, after it is now 1/16th" the caster and camber were OK. The tires are GREAT!
They make some noise but since I haven't had MT's for 15 years I can't tell you if they are louder than BFG's or MYR's. I do know they are quiet compared to Super Swampers or something like that.
They do fine on the trail but been up only once so far. Over all I'm very pleased with the setup. Here are some links to the install, tires, & the one run up to Bill Moore lake this last Sun. ONE LAST BIG THANK YOU TO KOLAK!! For all your help. The lift came in right on time that Fri. evening.
