Ok, so I had my first real trip since I put the disconnects on. I have to say that they are fantastic. No noise at all on the road and they just pop right off and back on.

As I suspected, however, the cheap rubber bands they send to hold up the discos didn't last a whole day. By the end of the day, they were completely gone and the disconnects were hanging free.

What do you people use to hold up your disconnects on the trail?

I use a nylon tie on the passenger's sid (disco to sway-bar)

Then tie the disco and bar up outta the way on the passenger's side with a 14" length of awg12 insulated wire (like a large "twist-tie" off of the ARB compressor mount -could be done through some of the drip-holes under the EOM air box as well) --

The wire lasts about 1 year of wheelin 2x per month!

Of course I know you, check out your Jeep Freak thread...

I am part way towards having my clearance so I'm making progress. Still looks like next spring is the target date. That is, assuming the company doesn't try to keep me here. I found myself becoming critical to the project I joined out here so they may want to keep me. But I've been training others so they can do what I do so they can live without me. :D

I sure do miss the mountains out there. We went driving in a rocky river bed this last weekend. It was fun but not nearly as scenic as the mountains. :(
