Last time I went wheelin' I hit quite a bit of mud. When I got home I did a quick once over of washing off the mud. About 3-4 days later I developed a whine from the right front. I almost sounds like a bird chirping and doesn't appear until about 25MPH, then increases in frequency w/ increased speed, until it is basically a whine above 40MPH.
Alan (TiggersBounce) suggested, I probably still had some mud in there, as he has heard the same thing before on his ZJ. So I removed the wheel this weekend, and used Simple Green and a brush to completely clean up the right front end.
Well, it still does it. The other weird thing is it get louder and then quieter as the suspension flexes when going over bumps.
Anyone know what this might be? And how do I fix it? My feeling is the only things it could be are the CV joint or the hub bearing?
