5 spd Manual KJ is on it's way

My Jeep design engineer buddy Bob (who came with me to CO last month) is getting one of the first 300 5 speed manual Liberties for "evaluation" next week. Supposedly it is a silver sport with the complete off road package. He always seems to get the state of the art or sometimes the next model off road stuff for evaulation.
Unfortunately he had to give up his 01 TJ but he's promised to bring his new KJ with us on all our regular Jeep trips, so we'll all get some first hand experience beginning with our third annual "fall color" outing to Camp Grayling Military Reservation in northern Michigan in October.
Lots of ruts, mud, and sand hills, and maybe even snow;)

Rick- Is there any way your Jeep design engineer buddy can convince the higher-ups to let me have a KJ for a few months of real-world testing? Winter's coming on here in Colorado, and I drive 130+ miles daily. This would be a great way to prove that the Liberty really can handle high mileage and usage...of course I would try my hardest to hit as many of the Colorado mountain passes as possible as well:p

Does anybody know when the manual V6 will be available, and did anybody drove one?

I've been tols January - it's so hard to wait.

I'm waiting for manual transmission - I drove whole my life manual and one of the best selling points for this car is the manual with V6.
