Right now I am running a 2.5" lift iwth JKS discos. If i switched over to the anti rock now, would I lose travel in the front? Not to say it wouldn't be more balanced, I'm just curious if I would lose any flex in the front.

Yes, you will lose some flex.

Probably nothing that you'ld ever notice with that lift.. A recent article in one of the 4x4 mags looked at the Anti-Rock.. They ramped a TJ with it in each of the 5 different settings and then disconnected it completely and ramped the TJ.. The difference between what the TJ would ramp with the AR in the softest setting, compared to what it would ramp completely disconnect was only something like 2 ~ 3 inches of ramp travel.. That's really nothing in the big realm of things.. My $0.02..

While I haven't driven an Antirock-equipped Jeep, I can attest to the fact that they DO flex just fine. I have wheeled with Fred (Stealth TJ) on numerous occasions and his Jeep has excellent flex, front and rear. I haven't seen any indication that it hinders the suspension at all.

Which mag and what issue?

I have a Currie Anti-Rock and they flex fine, but they DO hinder suspension travel, that is why you run one. If you don't want your suspension hindered in any way, don't run sway bars or A/R.

Do I like mine? Yes, I need all the 'balance' I can get. Balance is created by equalizing the weight load.

The amount of flex lost with Currie's Anti-Rock is very insignificant, not enough to be a factor in deciding for or against one. The Anti-Rock actually allows the front and rear suspension to work better together than they do when the front is completely disconnected so there is a net gain for an offroader. Flex is not the end-all answer to what is needed for offroading and in fact, too much flex is a bad thing. So if the Anti-Rock knocks someone's RTI from 1091 to 1088, so be it... he'll be better off due to the front and rear suspension working better together. I've seen it in action and it flat out works!

How are they once you get back to pavement? I read an article that covered installation, but didn't really touch on anything else. I'm looking for an alternative to traditional disco's, so any input would really help.
