okay.. try to hold down the laughter... I just got it and it was free. The bumpers are coming off, and it's getting a new set of 30's to start... http://www.cgcomm.com/images/mike/jeep01.jpg

How'd you get that free?

No laughing here, I'm jealous.
I'd had 20K worth of mods if I hadn't had to pay for the jeep. Just think of it....

There are three kinds of beer in the world.

1. Beer in a bottle,
2. Beer in a can,
3. Free Beer

Never fuss about free beer!

Therefore, never fuss about a fee Jeep. That is awesome!!!

Depends on your definition of free...

58 dollars to register, 45 for first smog (failed, registered as gross polluter) 59 for EGR valve, 50 for smog at test only station.. Stupid CA emmision laws..... Puts me at 212.00 total... of course, new plugs oil change, change gear oil etc... but that's just routine maint costs in my book. It's going to need new tires reall soon too but the price was definately right. My sister-in-law and husband bought a new car and I had offered to buy the jeep last year. They drove up in both, handed me the keys and pink. B^)

Even if the thing needed an engine (which it doesn't yet) we're still only talking about another 2k for a perfectly fine piece of machinery....

Dude you got ripped off. That is way to much money :D . j/k

A free Jeep. **** that's cool.

Getting rid of those bumpers and some new shoes sounds like a good start.

Good luck with your new Jeep.

well, she's all legal now, rolling with new rubber, and has a new exhaust/intake manifold gasket. All in all the cost of my new jeep has been under 1000.00 including the tires...

May I second that motion... Loose the chrome. Better yet, take it off-road and let the rocks chew them off for ya! We've all started somewhere, good luck keeping all four down, ROKSURF

Well, in mid June, a Suburban decided that my free Jeep would look better wearing the 405 Center Divider and decided to send me straight into it. :( I managed to stay upright, but the insurance totaled the Jeep. (The Suburban rolled twice and was also totaled with the dealers sign still in the license frame). The good news is I still came out ahead and managed to pick up a 92 Cherokee with a 6 in it. :D I'll post pics when I get a chance. Maybe that one will last me more than three months.
