I recently installed the rear half of a Rubicon Express 2" Budget Boost. Had back problems announce themselves while doinf the rear two weeks ago, and have not been underneath since then. I toyed with the bar pins that came with the DT3000s, but finally decided to skip it entirely and picked up a set of JKS Bar-pin Eliminators.

THe question is: When I installed the BPE's, the shock bushings were compressed to the point that turning the BPEs was difficult after installing the roll pin. I mounted the shocks with the piston down, but have noticed the ride SUCKS now. The shock or axle makes a "BANG" when airing out on some small bumps, the highway manners are atrcious and hte rear end "wallows" now whenever I hit bumps...

Are the shocks installed correctly, are the bushings too large, and what results have others had with this product?

Thanks,

Tiffster

The shocks are upside down. Should be can down.

That's pretty much what I figured; I was a little concerned about the can hitting the axle but then after tossing the old ones today I realized they were all can, and no contact issues...

Just wanted to get confirmation separately that I screwed up - as if I didn't know that already. What about the bushings? They are sqouze in pretty tight between the shock eye and BPEs.

A-mazing...I went out and switched the shocks around. Took it for a little test spin, and I have a much better ride.

My daughter was yelling at me when we drove Saturday morning; "Daddy don't hit all the bumps!!" She was getting sick from all the bouncing I think-felt like I was hitting bumps in an old land-yacht :p

I rushed it putting the BPEs and shocks together and although I knew I was wrong I kept going when assembling; basically because I had already put one BPE in the wrong shock bushing.
