I would like to run a slightly larger tire on my WJ something short of having to put in a lift and if possible fit into the spare wheel well. I have chewed up the stock tires and wheels pretty well so I want to start thinking about the best replacement. I read somewhere that the up country suspension is 1 inch higher than the normal suspension. Does anyone know that for a fact? Can’t seem to find any info on the up country anywhere.

if you have up country than you can run a 30/9.50 and it may not rub. 31's will rub but may not do any damage. if you will be driving these in the snow as well as off road go with bfg at/ko, if summer wheelin only go w/ the bfg mt. just my thoughts. on the 96 i have 30 at's for the winter and they have never rubbed when off road and now i have 31's for the summer that rub in extreme flexing or turning but doesnt do any damage.
