I am a new member, so if this has been answered before, thanks for answering it for me again.
Whenever I decelerate their is a clunk that occurs in the driveline. It happens when the transmission shifts itself back into first gear while your slowing down. It usually occurs when your at or around 4-6MPH when slowing down. I have owned this Jeep since 1995 and bought it with 50K miles on it. Every 20K I have had the tranny and differentials flushed by a mechanic. At 120,000 I had them pull the differential caps to completely clean them and pack with new gear oil.
Maintenence has always been a priority including 3000 mile oil changes.
How do you fix this this clunk? It has had this problem for what seems like forever.
