Okay,

I managed to purchase and get Rusty's 2.5 lift plus rear shocks installed all for about $400. I got them installed at Car Boutique here in Schaumburg, IL. Here are pics before and after.( Please notice that Rusty left his original coil spring isolator in at least in the rear which adds another 1/2" or so. )

The following are pics from the Northwoods Jamboree. These are no big deal as I didn't get a chance to take as many good shots as I wanted( like a really deep mudhole and 2 very steep hills one muddy and one loose dirt, we batted 2 out of 3 on these ) -- but at least it'll give you a small idea of the Libby in action.

Next time I'll take more pics :-) on those tougher obstacles!!

The Libby is hiding alot of jar-jolting rocks as it passes this area. Please note that alot of jeeps banged up their undersides quite a bit on this bed.( I scraped at least twice just crawling ) One guy even said "Do I have any jeep left?".

Getting some coaxing and coaching, come on Libby go, climb dat rock!

Looks like you had fun. :)
Did you change the rear shocks or just add the spacers?

Hey Chris,

Thanks for your help earlier( with the links, my bat ). We ended up purchasing the rear shocks as well per either your or someone else's recommendation in an earlier posting at this forum. I didn't want too take any chances and decided to go all the way.

Also, the new tires are 265 70 16s. They do rub a little in tight turns. I wanted Pirelli Scorpions 275 70 16s( I believe I saw them on Tiffsters Jeep in an earlier shoot before she got her MTR's ), but they didn't get here in time, plus they would have rubbed alot worse.

It rides kinda springy/bouncy( little bit ) on an open road, but when you hit even a small bump you can feel it more in the steering wheel.

I had alot of fun on the Jambo w/new lift...!!!:D Coming from someone whose never really off-roaded before( except in Military with Hummer )Jeeps are truly amazing let me tell ya!

very cool pix! How do you like the chrome grill? Did you change it out yourself?? I have one in the original box but have not put it on yet....

Hey !,

Replacing the grille is extemely easy!!! it's the easiest part to replace, it took me about 5 minutes!!! All you need is a phillips screwdriver to take about 4-5 screw on top with the hood popped open and thats it. After you lift the old grille out, you will need to take out the inner piece( two parts, just unsnap ) and then snap back into the new grille, then reverse install.

It gives the Libby better front end definition and makes it stand out more. Plus it kinda reminds you of the Grands that have the chrome grille as well.

Hope you enjoy!
