I would like to get together a comprehensive list of suppliers for aftermarket stuff for the KJ. I know that Chris S. and Tiffster have a lot of contacts, perhaps they could help.

Here's what I know (mostly gathered from the JU boards and/or internet searches):

http://www.sunperformance.com/
http://jparts.com/shop/index.php?UID=200109272202064.40.185.175[/URL]

http://www.provisions.jeep.com/

- Trailready.com is working on a bunch os stuff to be ready starting in October
http://www.trailready.com/

- Rusty's has a 2.5" lift (and possibly other sizes), related shocks, and a skid plate for the tranny pan/exhaust that nobody else has
http://www.rustysoffroad.com/newproducts.html

- RockyRoads (sp?) also has lift kit(s)

- Off Road General Store (ORGS) is working on some stuff.
http://www.offroadnet.com/orgs/

- Several DC/Jeep dealers on the internet offer Mopar parts at a 10-15% discount over Mopar quoted price. I have found that, if I take a printout showing these prices to my dealer's parts department, they will try to match the price if they can. [Do a search on "Jeep Liberty Accessories"]

It would seem that a lot of stuff that is produced for the XJ or TJ could be readily adapted for the KJ but I don't see this happening.

If anyone has any questions, here's what I've added to my KJ sport so far:

- Mopar trailer towing package [dealer installed at delivery]

- Upgraded Mopar sound system head unit with CD player [self installed]

- Mopar skid plates for fuel tank and transfer case [self installed]

- Mopar front tow hooks [self installed]

- Mopar rock rails [self installed]

I'm DEFINITELY no mechanic [I'm a computer geek] so if I can do this then you can too, believe me.

There's also been a lot of talk about tires. but the best summary I've seen is on Chris S.'s Mud Puppy website. Also, one of Tiffster's advertisers (www.tirerack.com ?) has a great tool for comparing tires based on customer survey results.

this really is a great post as KJ owners (in its early days) needs a list of available options for mods...
