I don't know the answer to your question you may have to get in touch with DC to find the answer. Lucky you to be in the Canaries, I regret not visiting when I was working in Dakar. :(

If I remember correctly, you hold the Set button on the VIC down while you switch on the ignition. You will then see a menu, and can use the Set and Select buttons to select the language you want.

I did this on mine (which was also in German), but that was almost two years ago, and I have a photographic memory - it's only open for 1/1000th of a second :)'

TOOLman is right. I change mine every so often. I just tell people that the ZJ is teaching me a new language. What a Toyota doesn't do that :D
