Ok it started about a week ago. When I hit the brakes really hard the brake light would go on in the dash. As soon as I would let off the light would go off. But only when I hit them really hard. Lastnight I took it in and it got the rear drums done "new pads, adjustment, etc." The light is still on! I just installed new rotors and pads in the front. Any ideas... Oh, and my parking break is all the way down! Thanks!

Check the brake fluid level. If it's to low the brake light will come on.

The guy said he toped that off too! The pedle feels really firm though and it stops great.
Any other help!

Disconnect your battery for 5 mins. maybe it needs to reset.

Dude,

I use to get that on my '93 when I use to take very long trips (in summer days) . I never found a cure for it .... my bet is that it has something to do with the ABS sensors on the front wheels ....

I had a buddy of mine that had the same situation bu on a Jimmy, his sensors were shot .....

Like I said, my guess .......

I totaly forgot to tell you guts I fixed it... as was said It could be a fuse or something. So when it rained the other day I jammed on the breaks to see if the ABS would kick in and it would tell me if it was working. Well, the ABS kicked in and the light went right out! Hasnt come one since!!!:D:D:D:D
