I just LMAO'ed through another episode of Ally McBeal. I realize we're some months behind over here, but I laughed until I almost cried when 'Richard Fish' in a conversation with 'Mark' over his somewhat unusually equipped 'girl'-friend says

"Women should be obscene, but not heard."

:D:D:D

So you watch Ally McBeal too. ;) What's next? Ally is one of my favorite shows. I like those Fishisms. Do you watch ER too? I won't give anything from Ally away. Wouldn't want to spoil it for you.:)

I used to watch ER, but it's on a cable channel and I ain't got one since I bought my house in the woods. I am going to put up a satellite dish one of those years...

'Ally McBeal' is one of the best shows ever, IMO, and it's very popular in Sweden. I also like 'Married with children' (the Al Bundy one), 'Friends' (also on cable :(), 'X Files', 'Hill Street Blues' (oldie but goodie), 'Benny Hill Show', and 'Smack the pony' (British crazy girl-humor).

Swedes suck when it comes to making TV shows. There are a couple of good movies, but not many.

Hill Street Blues was one show I never missed when it was on. It might be on cable now over here also. I'll have to check.:D I like Friends too. Will and Grace is another one I don't miss.;)

That's right! Will and Grace is great. It hasn't been on for a long time here, though, so I had forgotten about it.
Another one I missed in my previous post is the obvious one: M*A*S*H!

This is gettin' weird because up until this week I watched M*A*S*H* every night after the news. Now they extended the news to an hour and took M*A*S*H* off.:( I love that show. Good thing it's still on cable.

Do you like watching the police chase shows or world's worst drivers? I do. It makes me feel better about myself.:D

Yes I do!
Chris, I think we're...what's that expression...birds of a feather!

Unfortunately M*A*S*H runs at 2 AM here, so I never get to watch it. I get up at 6 AM, and I need more than 4 hours of sleep...

TOOLman,
it is too bad you are soooo far away !
I would love to sit down and drink some beer with you. You sound like a real cool dude.

BTW, do you listen to the band "Tool" ?
They rock !

Cheers

No, I've never heard of a band named "Tool". Is it American? The truth is, I haven't bought a CD in a long time. Nowadays I mostly listen to a local radio station called "Radio Guld" (Radio Gold). They only play music from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. On Saturdays they broadcast the Roger W. Morgan's Rock'n'Roll Rewind show. I don't know of any other Swedish radio station that broadcasts an American show as-is.

I like most kinds of music, from classical to heavy metal. But IMHO they stopped writing good music sometime in the late 80's. The rap, hip hop, house, dance, and whatnot, I don't care much for. To each his/her own. It's a sign of a rapidly approaching middle age, I guess

I also think it's too bad that I'm so far away from all you guys. Some of the people I've "met" on this board, and on JU, are great. I'd love to meet you IRL. Maybe some day I'll managed to haul my butt over there. I'd also like to go out wheelin' on some of your trails, even riding shotgun. We don't have trails like that here, and Swedish law more or less forbids all off-roading. There are just a few military training areas that are sometimes open for off-road clubs to use. OTOH our roads are so bad, especially this time of year, that it's almost like wheelin' anyway :)
