i'm in the process of coming up for some ideas for a snorkle for my jeep.here is my dilemma:i am unable to find a way to put a cover over the filter to keep excess rain/mosture/mud.i've combed over k&n's sight and found filter that would work.but they all lack the ability to mount a cover on them.i'm stumped.does anyone have any suggestions?i've seen the arb thingy and can't see how the can get that much for that.i think it's mostly plastic any ways.thanks for your help.

S&B used to make a 4" kit as you describe (a housing for a 4" or 5" filter -- Autophysics (http://www.autophysics.com/index.html) may be able to find one for you.

I'm fairly certain that the enclosure is from S&B (http://www.sbfilters.com/), but last I checked they were thinking of discontinuing it..

Maybe PPS (http://www.ppsonline.net/Enclosedintake.htm) ?

Go to Rockcrawler (http://www.rockcrawler.com) and look at their pics from SEMA they have some for a Toyota but you could probobly get the company info and see what they have for a Jeep.:cool:
