I just returned from a 700+ mile trip where the ZJ has performed very well. Now I can feel the performance gain from the Kolak exhaust again, and no jolts, misfires, or anything.

The two guys who took a look at her last discovered that there wasn't a good connection between the battery and the terminals, although the nuts were tightened as well as they could be. They removed the terminals and re-shaped them somehow, to improve contact. Since then she's been running like a godess!

Dare I hope that they actually found the cause this time?

I know some of you told me to check those terminals, and I did. I just didn't think of doing anything else than re-tightening... Anyway, thanks again to all of you who have come up with ideas of what to check.

Congrats TOOLman !! I hope that took care of it once and for all too !
I didn't read the suggestions about the battery connections, but I have noticed a lot of times they will get a film on them and cause a bad connection. Taking a steel wire battery brush to them now and then will keep them clean.
