I mentioned in a previous post that I'm making 5.25 speaker brackets for the TJ to replace the 4x6s. Below are the pictures of them. THEY ARE NOW AVAILABLE! I've decided to run them at $19.99 to your door for a pair through december as an introdutory deal.

Hey Mike,
Those look great. Don't forget to mention swapping the stock sound bar speakers to the front, and then getting replacement 6.5" speakers for the sound bar.
I like how you can add Infinity speakers. You could do the same for the sound bar.

I forgot that it was even an option :) That's a great point.

So the sound bar has a 5.25" speaker but will accept a 6.5"?

Correct. 6.5s are a really easy install into the soundbar. The best part is that if you've already upgraded your soundbar speakers to a better 5.25, you can now move them to the dash where they can do some real good. :)

Nice to know. Is there any mods to do that or do they just fit right in the sound bar?

I've not actually done this mod, as I'm running 5.25s front and rear, but I understand that they just fit right in.
Thanks,
Mike

It depends on the brand if 6.5" will fit.
Here's some I've heard fit:
6.5" Sony XPlod
6.5" Infinity Kappa
6.5" Kenwood - what I have
Just bring your speaker into the shop and see if the holes line up. The speaker comes right off the sound bar with 4 screws.
You'll also need to buy a wiring harness (for the wire connection) for each speaker which is about $5.
