Hi All -

First time poster, bear with me...

I was wondering how many of you out there got "stuck" with the Chrysler 8.25 rear-end. It's super common on '97 XJs. Has anybody heard any news from ARB regarding whether there will ever be an Air Locker released for it?

Any other recommendations? I would like to avoid anything that makes my rear end skittish on ice.

Thanks all! Hopefully the first of many posts...

Yes, I just recieved an e-mail form Dora at http://letsgojeepin.com and she said that she is taking deposits for them right now.
I think they should be out around June.
Probably best way to find out is give her a call at : 877 453-3746

Thanks, Ken -

I gave Dora a call, and just to recap for anyone else interested - they're expecting fifty units sometime around the end of May and a deposit of $350 will reserve one. She said that the price will probably be right around the standard $650 price point with a compressor running $200. So, they will call to confirm in June and charge the remaining amount.

Great news...it's been a long wait...

Borton,

If you have any info on where I can get my hands on an ARB for a 29 spline 8.25 I would love to hear it. All the info I have found says June at the earliest :( . I am installing an No-Slip this Wednesday but I would rather have an ARB.

Thanks,
CM

Well Craig if you find the ARB I will be more than happy to take the No-Slip off your hands.

CM,

As for right now ARB is taking orders through there distributors, and they are saying that if you reserver one than you should have it by June.(hopefully)

So you have two choices; install your locker, or order one through a dealer like Dora at http://www.letsgojeepin.com or someone else and wait.
