I am trying to buy an '88 Jeep Cherokee (basic) which is high mi (196k), baby blue (but parts of the car has some washed up paint).It's tame and family-owned. Not fancy but in a condition that I can drive it home today.

As Cherokee experts, would you let me know if 1500 is a good price.?;)

I think you've posted this in the wrong forum, my friend. This is the Grand Cherokee forum, which is very different from the Cherokee.

Try posting this in the Cherokee forum, and I think you'll get more (and better) answers.
