I finally got my ARB up and running last night (:D:D). I have had the ARB in the D-30 for over a year but no compressor. I bought a D-30 that already had the ARB in it so it's been almost 2 years since the ARB has been engaged. I engaged it for the first time last night and it was fine, but there was a delay in the disengagement when I switched it off by a good 7-8 seconds. Is this normal? I always thought that the engagement/disengagement was instant.

Are you using valve switches or solenoids? It sounds like the pressure isn't getting dumped off fast enough.check the outputs for whichever your using and if it has the little brass filters take it off and see if that corrects it

I am using a valve switch and can actually feel the air escaping because of where I have it mounted on the dash. The switch is a one piece unit so there doesn't seem to be anything I can remove.

JPFREEK - were you on pavement when you engaged and disengaged the ARB? Did you drive at all or even turn the steering wheel in between? My ARB's disengage right away if there is no torque in the axle, but I have experienced a delay if there is torque binding one up.

Yes I was on pavement. I tried to turn the wheel slightly, that's how I knew it was locked. It took about 7+ seconds or so after I was completly stopped.

Sounds like you bound it up, and it behaved accordingly. Try engaging/disengaging it without driving or moving the steering wheel. Or going offroading and give it a real test!
