Very cool. I'll have to add them to my "wish list", but I'm tapped out from X-mas.

I visited these guys when I went out to Vegas last -- nice guys cool product --

I *****ed at them for not having accurate depth dimentions on their site & the still don't. They kinda indicated that most users had these things on bars where front/back depth wasn't a big issue and went on to mention that focusing the lamps changed the rear depth some... still didn't get an answer and they were pretty busy with SEMA stuff.

Dora - I'm all over a set of the 5.6" and a few filter sets if anyone can establish depth dimentions for mounting ...

I agree with satan (yeah, that's sound good...), the lights look and sound great, but I need some depth and mounting info. I'm looking to mount 4 lights upside down on the Garvin safari rack on our TJ, and 2-3 lights on my C4x4 bumper.

I really like the idea of being able to focus the beam, and the visor around the lens. Right now KC's new Slimline Daylights are the first choice for new lights. With more info I could be swayed to the LightForce 5.6's for the TJ and 6.6's for my XJ. ;)

BTW, Dora, which lights did you get and where are you planning on mounting them?

but not electronically. open this link in another window http://www.lightforceusa.com/rmdl240.html and follow along as i detail the measurements as the 240/170/140 all use the same back mounting hardware.

bolt is 5/16" x 1" and goes into the center of the square piece at the bottom. that square piece measures 1 1/8" deep and 1 1/2" wide. from the BOLT to the back of the mount is 2.1". the back mount is 5.5" tall from face where bolt goes in to top of back mount. 7" total from base of bolt plate to top of light.

that oval peice along the stem with a hole in it is a breather - do not cover that up. the ribbed collar is the ratcheting mechanism for adjustment.

total diameter for the face of the light is either (240Blitz) 9.7", (170 Striker) 6.6", or (140 Lance) 5.5"

from the bolt forward to the face of the light is either (240Blitz) 4.6", (170 Striker) 3.9", or (140 Lance) 3.1"

as far as the depth changing when you adjust the focus, the depth in FRONT travels out a total of 2.5 revolutions from spot to flood. the back hardware/mount is stationary.

switches and wiring do NOT come with the lights, and set of clear covers DO come with the lights.

they CAN be mounted upside down, but NOT sideways.

any other questions :)?

How about the dimension from the mounting surface where the bolt goes though to the centerline of the light/bulb? That will help establish the overall height of the light.

So far it sounds like the 5.6" 140 Lance (and all the lights) is pretty deep, about the same size/dimensions as a regular KC Daylighter. ?

Really sucks they don't come with any wiring or switches. :(

140 is 5.2" deep
170 is 6.0" deep
240 is 6.7" deep

bolt to center of light will be just a hair under 5.5" since its 5.5" to top of rear mounting bracket.

the lightforce guy said - your bumper is more likely to damage than these lights :)
