You will need to change one of the motor mounts and I can't remember which side, passenger I think. The fuel line will also have to be rerouted to the driver side and some wiring will also have to be rerouted. Cooling will have to be considered and it's likely that your 258 radiator won't be up to the task of keeping a 360 cool. You're pretty limited when it comes to aftermarket parts, but I'm partial to leaving a 360 alone. The stock intake along with the Motorcraft carb work really well for four wheeling. For boring it out you only want to bore it as much as necessary to eliminate any taper if there is any. Boring out is expensive and the amount of power you get from the little bit of extra displacement is minimal if any. Boring a 360 .060 over (about the max) will only get you about 5 cubic inches more displacement or about 2 horsepower.

You will also need a 360 flywheel.

As far a performance parts, you are limited by what you can afford.

There are several intakes including dual carb intakes. Many different cams, roller rockers, headers, aluminum heads, pistons, etc. For wheeling in my Wagoneer, I use a 360 with an Edelbrock RB4 intake (now out of production but can be found on e-bay or in junkyards) with an edelbrock performer cam and lifters, dual exhaust and a 600cfm Holley single feed carb. This hooked up to a T400/D20 tranny/t/case combo and 4.10's with 33's in a 4000 lb rig makes it a lot of fun in the mud and at the dunes. In my CJ5 I have a 304 set up the same way with the addition of headers hooked to a 3 spd manual and have lots of power.
