Went to Devil's Den Saturday with the Austin Four Wheelers Club. A Toyota club & a Chevy ZR club were also out there. Probably 40 vehicles in all. What an awesome place! The trails go back for approx. 3 miles and there are many obstacles to try your vehicle on from hills, to rocks, ledges, mud holes and just riverbed rock.
Had a great time and will go back. Anybody in central Texas looking for an alternative to the long drive to Gilmer should check it out!

I did put some fresh "earth tattoos" on the WJ when the left side tires slipped off a ledge and it leaned into a dirt berm. The Laredo cladding took the brunt of the hit and I got a small ding in the door & broke the "o". Looks better after a car wash & the wife wasn't too upset. :)

Wow, that is a nice flex shot!!! Did you lose a spring?? I bet it was close. Do you have the spring retainers?

Thanks. I didn't lose a spring & I do have the retainers. I've never had a problem with the passenger side spring, but almost lost the driver's side once before I got the retainers.

Interstate Hwy 35 and Hwy 10 both run into San Antonio. So if you are coming from out of town on one of those Hwy's take Loop 410 west and follow it around to exit 11 (Ingram Road) and go outside the loop. Go to the first light (Ingram Park Mall - on your right), turn left (yes it's also called Ingram Road) and go straight for about 1/2 mile. The entrance is on your right and you'll see the first obstacle (called three fingers) as soon as you turn in.
