I'll get some pictures as soon as I can. It's dark tonight and we're going to play in the snow in the Cascades tomorrow.

I had the Daystar 2.5" spacer lift and longer shocks from Rusty's installed at the 4Wheel Parts shop in Lynwood. Rusty had to overnight air ship me the shocks becuae the original set that he sent me is lost with my tranny skid plate [UPS is still trying to figure out where they are].

When I picked up the Jeep, the shop said they were somewhat concerned about the struts (because I still have the stock ones) and that they were liable to top out. The mechanic said that before he drove it; but then said it actually drove much better than he thought it would. I sent Rusty a request for the struts as soon as I got home, anyway. Hopefully he'll have them available soon.

I've only had the chance to drive it home so far but it does drive different; so far I Like it. I definitely prefer the stiffer shocks. You do notice the loss of strut travel though when you hit a stiff bump or speed bump, but so far, it's tolerable. Of course, I haven't taken it offroad yet. It does beg for taller tires ...

More later with pics.:abduct1:

Sheesh. What a tough crowd. :)

I rushed home from church and went straight out and took the pictures so I could get them on here, interuppted only by lunch and my son and I watching in sadness as somebody else bought this lovely Jeep for only $2000 in the last 20 seconds of the auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=600557601&).

I have put a whole page of photos of the lift on my web page (the one in my signature), go to the "New Lift" page. In the meantime, here's a couple of others.

We drove up to the mountains to play in the snow and it seems to handle quite well on-road. Only thing I've noticed is on some 90 degree turns, when finishing the turn, a little bit of extra body roll to the outside with a dip to the front at the same time. Not sure if this will be cleared up with the longer struts. Overall, I really like it.

Looks good. Are you changing tire size?

Just need the money ...

Looking at Pro Comp MT, BFG Mud Terrain, or Goodyear MT/Rs; 265/75-16 ish; if they fit. [They do according to Glenn at Rocky Road and Jeff Gordon (XJ XJ ZJ KJ on JU).] [They don't according to some others]

Mutant,

Do you have any good before and after shots of the Lib lift? My GF is looking into a new vehicle and looking at the Lib so our friends will continue to talk to her.

Thanks, Snotty

Unfortunately, I'm not very creative with a camera (as in I don't think ahead, I just "point and click").
