oops, my bad. I dunno what I clicked. Anyway, I own a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, 2 wheel drive. I have heard about Jeeps being some of the most able off-roaders on the planet. How "able" is a 2-wheel drive ?

It'll get you to the grocery store and back :D

Its as capable as any two wheel drive truck. It has higher ground clearance than a car, but only has power to the rear axle.

Where-as the higher ground clearance will help you go farther, you won't get near as far as a true 4x4.

Some of the most able desert racing trucks are 2wd.

Some of the 4x4 mags have actually featured killer 2wd trucks.
