Got a serious problem ;-)... I do not know what name to use for my new website. What is the best: 4WDEAL.com or 4WDEALS.com? Ideas welcome.

People have told me before, the plural seems to be more popular (DealsonWheels.com). My native language is dutch and maybe that is why I took the wrong decision in hosting 4WDEAL. Hmmm, got to change this I'm afraid. My vote for 4WDEAL seems to have only minor effect ;-)

Anyway, the site will be dedicated to secondhand 4X4's, 4WD's and all other real autos. ALL FOR FREE!

They have two very different implications. If you are selling something (which most people are under the impression that you are) the proper name for the site would be 4wdeals.com

If, however, you are just offering webspace or a website where people will go to see pictures, post pictures, chat with other 4wheelers, then 4wdeal.com would be the correct name.

So it kind of depends on what your intentions are, not which people like more.

What exactly do you mean by this?

Is the site all about selling things? then call it 4wdeals.com

Is the site all about sharing things? then call it 4wdeal.com

4wdeals means it is a place to look if you want to buy things (i.e. this is a place to find DEALS on 4wd parts and vehicles).

4wdeal means it is a place for people to better aquaint themselves with the four-wheel drive sub-culture (i.e. this is the place to find out what exactly is the DEAL, with people that drive 4wd vehicles; OR, better put, what drives the people that drive 4wd vehicles).

I don't know how to explain it any better than that.

for a website w/ classifieds, etc. i'd definately go with DEALS, because hopefully there's gonna be more than one DEAL on your site.
