A team of Al Qaida terrorists could attack your Rockrails and never damage them. :^)
Let me know how the install goes when you get them. Yours will be among the first with the new (hopefully) easy to use banded mounting system.

Sweet. :D
I'm thinking of getting a set just for more side impact protection. :D

Those look good. i wish that ORGS had included a template for drilling holes in the pinch weld. I wonder if there is any difference in ground clearance between the two.
On an unrelated topic: This place sure has some cool smilies :silly: :lurker: :chainsaw: :band: :slice:

Ok same names different place. Took mine to the ORV park at 7 mile road here in Spokane today. Had all full size trucks gawking at how I would out climb them. And the folks on the motorbikes kept stopping and watching. But the wife would let me do much rocks until I get the skids so came to see these. Can't wait for the article on them. However is there much differance between these and the ones with the steps? Anyway going back tommorow with the new YJ and the Libby to have more fun.

.... However is there much differance between these and the ones with the steps? ....
If you mean the side bars that are just capped hollow tubes with steps molded in like the dealers sells, YES, there is a huge difference. The tube side step bars are glorified running boards that will fold the first time they hit a rock.

At Rusty's they have two sets of rock rails the one shown above and ones that say they stick out about 2". Thats the ones I was asking about :D

I've never seen the Liberty ones that stick out, but if they're like the XJ ones I've seen it's just the mounts that are different.

Welcome home Oscar..
I was wondering when you would be back..
The 2" extra side steps are very useful if you need to access the top of the Liberty..
I almost decided to go with the side step ones..
But I figured with the kind of driving I do, they would hold me up in one spot or another..
The ones I have, if you look straight down you can't really see them..
(I have 1 pic that kinda shows that.)
If you are really planning on coming down on any rocks really hard, I would go with the non-steps..
If you are not going to be thrashing them that hard, then the steps would be for you..
The reason I say this is because while the rails themselves are made from 1/4" steel, what they are attached to is not 1/4"..
So, with the side step ones if you come down on a rock the whole rail part could bend up toward the body..
(is that clear..?)
I don't really see that as a major problem, but something you should be aware of..
