Jon, check the FAQ. I think it says you need 60 posts to be able to select a custom avatar. I'm not sure about the limit for using a pre-defined one - or even if there are any.

Tiffster has adjusted these limits up and down, I think.

I'm even older than you, ROKSURF, and I know what you're talking about. I also remember that it took like five minutes for the CRT to warm up. If you came home late and switched on the TV to see something, the first few minutes you could only hear the sound - no image!

Well, those spoiled youths of today can never appreciate the hardship we had to endure :D

I still remember being excited when I was at the store and bought a new record. I used to listen to records all the time, then I got a hifi with an 8 track player, never liked it much. It is funny, I remember when they first starting selling cassette players for cars, they were so expensive, but boy you were not anything unless you had one. Cassettes used to seem so neat, and that was not even that long ago. I guess I am just getting old and rambling on, or maybe I am just getting closer to an Avatar. :D

I remember when CD's first came out and they were like 15-20 dollars each but the record companies swore that the prices would come down. Then they did away with the long cardboard boxes and the prices didn't go down, and today, CD's are still the same high price, regardless of the fact that they are extremely cheap to make and artists get next to nothing off CD sales....

And then I remembered why I'm not morally bothered by downloading songs off of Napster. :D

I work. Seventy hours a week to be exact. :)

I tend to stay up late. And get by with about six hours sleep each nite. And still play with the Jeep, which is all that really counts, right? :D
