Hey all...

Has anyone used LightForce lights...(from Australia)...I was going to mount a set of the 165 watt KC Daylighters, but these RMDL 170mm LightForce lights caught my eye.

If so, how are they holding up? Do you like the focus ability? Do the snap on lens (especially the wide angle ones) work as stated?

TIA

Zac, I have these exact lights . I havent installed them yet, but have hooked them up to a power supply and have played with them. VERY sweet lights and indestructible. I even thru them on the garage floor( they asked me to when I got them!) they just took a lickin and kept on tickin!

I highly reecomend them . idont have any colored lens covers yet but the dial adjustment is great and the stregth can't be beat.

here's a article on them .

How do the lightforce lights compare price-wise to say IPF, Hella, PIAA, etc.? They certainly seem like great lights...but so do the HID lighting systems...problem with them is they cost $600 a light.

Thanks for the input BajaZJ...I already ordered a set of the RMDL 170s, expect them in any day now. I'm going to wire them to a standard KC Daylighter harness. They will be mounted on my ARB up front. (I also ordered the yellow wide angle dispersion filter for snow and fog.)

I'll try and take some pics and post the results once they are operational.

Mudgeek on the YJ/TJ forum also has a set, and reported similar "love" for them.

Z you could mount a set of 4 of the big ones (the 240s) for about the same price as one HID unit. The RMDLs cost about $125 a piece last time I checked. I purchased two of the 170s for $150...You have to buy them a la carte. All the filters are extra (and pricey, but still a heck of alot cheaper than buying another light unit.) No wiring harness is included, but you can do with other 3d party harnesses no problem.
