One day, while sitting in class preparing for a spelling contest, the teacher asked her class as to who could spell the word dumb. Looking around the room only one hand was raised. "Darla," the teacher said, "Can you spell dumb?" Darla replied, "Dumb, D U M B, Dumb." The teacher replied, "Very good, now can you use it in a sentence?" Darla replied, "Buckwheat is dumb!" "I don't qpprove of you comment Darla, but well done!" exclaimed the teacher. The teacher went on to ask for another student to try spelling a word. Not a single student raised their hand. She asked, "Buckwheat, can you to spell dictate and then use it in a sentence?" Buckwheat stood up and said, " Dictate, D I C T A T E." The teacher was impressed. "Now can you use it in a sentence?" his teacher responded. "I maybe dumb, but Darla says my dictate good!"
