need help on d30

ok nobody can tell me from what year steering knuckle to what year or if the d44 will fit and what years what i'm trying to do is is put disk brakes on my 76 cj5 and trying to keep it looking stock because i found this jewel with 50000 miles factory hard top, console, tach, snow plowand mini spreader and the only rust was on the front fenders

I believe the 78-86 CJ5/7/8 had disk brakes on the front Dana 30, so you should be able to pull one and fit it underneath with little problem. Keep in mind there were two widths available after about 81, but I believe that was only on the CJ7 and 8 so a few quick measurements should keep you in the clear.

Going off memory on these dates, as I've packed up most of my reference materials...
