Hi all
I have a quick question for the cj owners
I lifted the cj 7 this past weekend and don't know how much lift I actually got does anyone know the stock height of a cj 7 and if so where is it measured from
I am sure my springs were sagging so I don't know how much lift I got over stock the springs I put on were used and I got 5 3/4" over what I had so I don't know if my stock springs were sagging 1 3/4 " or if the new used springs are 6" sagging 3/4" either way I have room for 35" tires now with the 2" shackles on it

If you can wait for the week end I have a stock 81 in my garage I could measure.

What do you want, Bumber height , frame height?

the best way I can think of to measure the suspention hieht would be to measure from the center of the hub to the lip on the flair
That would tell me how much the suspention has raised
The measurment to the bumper would be nice also so I can see the total lift with the tires also
Thanks a lot

That could be hard because there is no front fenders on this jeep and the rears were rotted away. It's mainly my spare parts jeep right now. :-)

I could measure the height of the hub and then the height of the frame or bumper. Then you can subtract the hub height from the frame height and any difference between the remainders is your height gain.

That way we take out the difference in the tire heights.

all right Here we go

Height to center of hub= 13"
Height to Bottom of bumper at the frame = 18.5"
