Hey all,

I'm getting ready to add another 2inchs of lift to my existing ROR 3 inch kit I have on my 98 XJ. With 31's I rub alot so the next step is to rise the beast. I am purchasing the two inch budget boost with shackles from rusty and adding that. My question is when does the drive shaft run out of room? The higer you lift it the drive shaft must compensate right? I just don't want to be hitting the trails and one day snap a drive shaft because I extended it to far.

Also FYI for those who did'nt know Rusty now has adjustable lower control arms for sale. I don't know how much theyare, I guess I should of asked before ordering them :), but I'm also placing those bad boys on to make sure I take advantage of the full flex on my front suspension. Does anyone see any reason to change out the top ones? Anyhow I would appreciate some feedback if possible. Thanks for the band width.

More lift will not eliminate rubbing, you need to extend your bump-stops as well.

If you changed your drive shaft for the 3" lift then you should be fine. If not you will be VERY close to the end of the slip yoke. This puts a lot of strain on it and can result in faster wear and/or twisting the splines. It is also possible to get to the point that you can drop the rear driveshaft if you droop the rear all the way.
