I have a 01 tj sport, and in a week or so I'm putting a lift in it, 2" with 31s. Nothing major because its my daily driver. Would adding a less restrictive intake and exhaust (planning on doing exhaust anyways) help my fuel mileage? Or do these bolt-ons not really affect a tjs mileage, just a waste of money. I didn't buy a jeep for fuel mileage, but can never hurt to save a few dollars. Thanks for any thoughts.

Sometime when you install a cat-back system it can reduce you mpg. I had this happen on a cherokee a few years back. The increase in the performance also meant less mpg. I installed a cat-back system on my grand cherokee 1 year ago and it helped out with my mpg, not much though, only abouth 1-2 mpg ( highway ). I also installed a FIPK and that made the most difference in the power. Good luck!
