Sounds like a project - then again that's exactly what an old CJ is all about...

Good luck finding parts - I found it hard enough to find parts like you're looking for when I was shopping for pieces for my 73 CJ5. The 72-75 years are pretty scarce from an aftermarket persective...

I also have a '71. Been working on it for the last 10 yrs.
Let me try to cover your list:

1" lift and/or body bushings Try 4wd.com, or similar catalog. Any BL for '72 to '75 will work. Or get a "salami", and cut-to-length yourself. That's what I did.

Carb rebuild kit for a Rochester 2 Jet. Common item, should be available at NAPA. If they say they don't show it for a CJ, ask for one for a '71 Jeepster Commando...

K&N Filter (replace the whole top) . I got a drop-in K&N filter, same size as the paper element. I like the air filter with the horn, keeps most of the water out from deep puddles, etc.

Waterproof Seat covers. You can try Carl Walck at www.walcks4wd.com, or Beachwood Canvas
www.beachwoodcanvas.com. Both have alot of stuff, Carl has a good inventory of mechanical parts.

Instrument Panel Buttons. Again, try Carl Walck

Odometer/Speedometer. Carl Walck

Gasket for the window base (is there an alternative cushioning material?) Carl Walck

all the hood connections (hinges, hood clamps, window stops,etc...) Gonna replace alllllllll gaskets
Rubber Boots for the transfer case and shifter (tranny)
I'd try Carl for all of this. A boneyard is a good place for shifter boots.

soft top and/or doors, bikini top: All of the major catalogs carry these. 4wd.com, quadratec.com, etc.

seat belts: Carl

rim spacer : www.performance wheel.com

BTW, you'll love this little engine if you get the carb workin and install an odd-fire HEI or Pertronics Ignitor kit with a Delco distributor...

Sam, good point. But last I heard was that O-A will not sell direct.
Carl Walck is an O-A distributor, as well as having a host of other parts.

Jim, if it's what I think it is, BTDT. :(
But now my kids are 27 and 22, things are better.
You'll get there.

Yup, it's what you think. A direct violation of my 13th Amendment rights under the same Constitution that I spent 9 years defending. Mine are 4, 5 and 9. I've got a few years to go.
