For that Nylon foam cover for your air filter, how thick was the foam you used?

I picked up a foam filter that is used for a wet/dry vac at Home Depot. It slides right over the K&N and there is no need for zip ties.

I'm assuming this is what you're inquiring about...

It's a typical Humidifier filter available at most Home Depot/Hardware stores ... I think they are all the same thickness from what I saw...and I don't think it really matters how thick it is, as long as it stops mud from spraying into the K&N filter ... My guess is it's somewhere between 1/2" and 3/4" though.
